What Makes the Scarves Special
Hand-drawn Designs
Each scarf starts as a hand-drawn design. Every line and shape is carefully considered to keep the character of the original idea alive.
The color palettes are varied and thoughtfully balanced — from bold contrasts to soft tones — so you can find a piece that feels like you and pairs effortlessly with what you already love to wear.
Supporting Greece
Our scarves are proudly made in Greece from 100% silk twill. They are produced in Soufli, in the north of Greece, by the country’s oldest silk factory which helps sustain Greece’s long tradition of silk production.
Also, with every purchase, a portion of the proceeds is donated to a non-profit dedicated to preserving Greek folk art, dance, and music - ensuring that the culture inspiring our designs continues to thrive.
The organisations supported are Avles, Branding Heritage and Hellenic Performing Arts Foundation.
Inspired by Greek Folk Art
Each scarf design reimagines symbols, shapes and colors from Greek folk art and turns them into modern pieces that connect everyday style with timeless tradition.
The scarf designs draw inspiration from research done at the Metropolitan Museum’s archives, where original Greek embroideries and textiles are carefully preserved. By studying these historic pieces, we reimagine their patterns and symbols for today, bringing a living tradition into the modern world through color and design.

Meet the Artist
Hi! I am Ariadne, a designer and Greek folk art researcher.
My unique style is inspired by Greek folk motifs and shapes of the 18th/19th century.
I am very fascinated by their symbolic meanings and what they represented to the women who wore or embroidered them.
My goal?
Through my work I want to bring Greek folk art out of the archives and back into our everyday lives.

The Designs
Attica Gardens Scarves
The Attica Gardens scarves are inspired by the traditional bridal garment of Attica in Greece. The original motifs found on the garment symbolize new beginnings, fertility and abundance.
Reimagined with a modern aesthetic and vibrant colors, this design honors cultural heritage and carries a wish for a prosperous future. The floral motifs of the piece were hand painted with watercolor giving the design depth and beautiful variations in its hues.
The design is available in two colorways, the pink and the teal.
Cretan Mermaid Scarves
The Cretan Mermaid scarves were inspired by the rich collection of Cretan embroidery from the archives of the MET museum in New York. Home to the oldest dated piece of Greek folk embroidery.
The design draws inspiration from the bold, playful motifs of traditional Cretan embroidery, featuring symbols like the mermaid, carnation and flower vase.
This vibrant design is both a contemporary homage and a joyful celebration of the bold, playful embroidery traditions of Crete.
The design is available in two colorways, blue and pink.
Mesogeia Blooms Scarves
The Mesogeia Blooms scarves were inspired by the bridal garment of Attica in Greece. More specifically the garment’s sleeve is decorated with a repeating pattern of vases from which bloom beautiful floral motifs. These symbolised prosperity and fertility.
The scarves design reinterprets those original motifs using an array of vivid colors and a dynamic composition as a way to celebrate their beauty with a modern twist.
The design is available in two colorways, cream and red.
